NY Black Dress

I’m going to be completely honest with you this balloon was the hardest thing to shoot with, especially on a windy NYC day. So, next time you see a bunch of balloons in a photo… commend them for their taming skills. We also had a hard time catching a pic where we weren’t laughing because it kept hitting one of us in the head or wrapping around us in a good ole balloon choke hold.

ANYWAYS, as you all know we are slightly obsessed with black dresses… and by obsessed I mean that is pretty much all we own. It is always a go to for us. Some people think that is safe, but we take it as a challenge. How do you make a million LBD look different? Challenge accepted.

NY Black Dress (www.nyblackdress.com) a new brand that we’re lusting over has us covered. Sidenote… I don’t think there is a brand out there we could get behind more than one called NY Black Dress. They post some inspiring black dress photos on their Instagram and website, but they even have their own collection as well. Abigail and I are both wearing their pieces in this photo. That tulle skirt?? Come on now. Abigail went for an off the shoulder look with a sexy slit. Since Valentine’s day is coming up she paired her look with some suede red boots and I choose a bit of a punkier look with combat boots.

Regardless of your style, NY Black Dress has plenty of options. What is your go to LBD? Do you go for off the shoulder? Sleeveless? Or, are you like me bring on the volume!! Would love to hear your opinions on the best little black dresses.

Xx, Emily

Love black for clothing, and love dresses, although I’m barely accustomed to wearing them.

My perfect LBD would be a mini dress, either strapless or straight cut with spaghetti straps. And either a ribbed fabric, or a silk.

Love the post girls, you both look amazing 🙂

In love with both looks! You really can’t go wrong with black on black. Also, love the pop of red!
