Quick shout out to Coterie Show for having us in NYC this week to scour the booths for our favorite Spring/Summer 2018 styles. We landed at the Elizabeth and James booth drooling over these vintage kimonos and rad sunglasses. We may not wear a lot of color, but this is the one way we’ll succumb! Check out our Fall picks from the last trade show we covered:

As many of you already know, we move to Nashville next week! Get ready for a lot of brand new content including style, lifestyle, home decor, and of course travel. But don’t worry New York, we’ll be back before you know it.

Incorporating Patent Leather into your Fall Wardrobe

October 20, 2016

Patent Leather

Blouse, Jennifer Hope. Skirt, Zara. Boots, Ted & Muffy. Sunnies, Aldo.

My absolute most favorite patent leather skirt! I am a BIG fan of patent leather and picked up this crimson colored one from Zara last season! I’m happy that the weather is finally getting cooler, so I can wear it again. Although, my closet seems to lack seasonal wear. I’m usually covered in leather all year round and just buck up in the Summer and run from AC to AC. I just can’t not wear it… I’m happy to say those hot days are over and Fall is officially filling the air with it’s crispness.

Next up, I’m on the hunt for the perfect patent boots. I love these Gianvito Rossi boots, but I don’t love the price. I’ve also had my eye on these Sigerson Morrison beauties, which are a bit more affordable. Do any of you have an suggestions for a pair of patent leather boots? In desperate need!

At least I have these badass gray suede thigh-high boots from Ted & Muffy. They are more comfortable than flats, seriously! We had an early morning event with Teloyears and astronaut Captain Mark Kelly… I literally talked to an astronaut this morning about space ships and teloyears all whilst in a patent leather mini skirt. What life do I live? Admittedly, during the lecture I couldn’t move a muscle because I was scared my skirt was going to make a weird noise on the leather chairs.

After the wonderful event, I spent the morning strolling through the meatpacking district in this ensemble. Don’t you just love the cobblestone lined streets in New York City?

P.S. 10 days till Halloween!! What are you all being? Abigail and I have already watched all eight Harry Potter’s and are making our way through all the non-scary Halloween flicks. Open to suggestions 🙂

Floral Cupcake Dress

July 6, 2016

Dress, Patricia Bonaldi. Heels, Dune London. Jacket, Playboy.

I feel like a forest nymph or a fairy in this floral cupcake dress… if only I had wings or lived in a tree. Well, I don’t know about living in a tree. I’m not really big on the whole camping thing. Glamping I could maybe get on board with. Do they make battery operated blow dryers? I’m getting away from myself…

Abigail and I headed up to The Cloisters to be eaten alive by bugs, I mean to take photos of a couple looks. As you all know I’m usually in a lot of black, but I saw this dress and I had to wear it. It felt good to get in touch with my feminine side in this flower covered cupcake dress. It almost looks like I’m not wearing anything but appliqué flowers on account of my unbelievably pale skin. Wouldn’t that be so cool though if it was just flowers?! Is there a job where that can become a reality? Leave comments below with any and all suggestions!

Speaking of fairies. My brother is having a baby girl and I’m so excited to become an aunt for the first time! I am vying for the position of Godmother, but I’m hoping to take it a step further to fairy Godmother. So, perhaps I should hold on to this dress! Yes, this is a hint to my brother Danny…
