Hotel Roanoke in Virginia is Spectacular

Updated: Oct 20, 2021

Hotel Roanoke - 110 Shenandoah Ave NW, Roanoke, VA

Sometimes on our road trips we find ourselves in towns like Roanoke, Virginia and wonder what accommodations will be like. We decided to stay at Hotel Roanoke, and had no idea the absolute wonder we were about to experience!

We pulled in around 5pm tired of driving, and our eyes immediately lit up when we saw the exterior of this place. Little did we know this giant property was originally built in the 1880s, and still boasts that historic elegance to this day. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond. We can't thank them enough for their generosity, hospitality, and of course the bottle of bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries! They even upgraded us to the Governor's Suite. Talk about breathtaking. We couldn't get over the attention to detail in this spacious suite.

Oh, and even though it snowed we were still able to enjoy our private terrace. Be sure to spend some time in their beautiful lobby, and even more gorgeous bar The Pine Room (not pictured above.) Shoot some billiards and check out their live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. We also hear they have one of the best traditional Sunday buffet brunches in the country. If only we could have spent days at this hotel!
