Feast your eyes on The Après Loft by Gibbons Whistler. When we decided to visit Whistler, British Columbia, we were thrilled to hear about Gibbons. To put it simply, they are Whistler experts, and can fully plan your itinerary from lodging to activities and dining. When we showed up to the loft, we were greeted by tequila shots on a ski and VIP cards to skip lines and charges at some of Whistler's most popular night spots. Tell me that's not the welcome you've always wanted?! Rather than just wandering around the village wondering what to do and where to go, we felt like we had a personal insider acting as our concierge.
Immediately after checking in and taking our shots, we stepped outside to find food and drinks. We wandered into El Furniture Warehouse, a recommendation by Gibbons for a quick bite and good local dive feel. On our way there we met super friendly Australian skiers who came with us and bought us some whiskey. We ordered up some food (which is literally only $4.95 per entree) and the bartender bought us some more whiskey. Night one, and we already had more friendly encounters than on any previous trip. We met some more locals, and checked out Garfinkel's for some dancing.
Day two we hit up Scandinave Spa, which you can see HERE! After relaxing, we grabbed lunch at one of our fav local spots The Longhorn Saloon. This spot is literally at the bottom of the ski slope, and you can actually watch people ski their way into the bar and grab a drink. So damn cool. We ended up going there three times.
After refueling, we were off to snowmobiling, which you can check out in our next blogpost! Our other stops included FireRock Lounge for dinner, delicious brunch at Stonesedge Kitchen, and cocktails at Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub. There are still so many places we have to check out, so we will definitely be going back as soon as possible.
