24 Hours at Mohegan Sun

It doesn't happen often, but for once we were feeling lucky. We woke up wicked early and boarded the bus with all the sequin clad grannys with their blue hair perms and bingo bags. Needless to say, we were in our element. After a couple hours we had made it to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Surprisingly such a short ride from NYC. (If you are looking for a quick little escape from NYC I highly recommend this trip.)

Once we made it to our room, champagne in hand and ready for a fully packed evening. Once we were finally ready, we headed to Michael Jordan's Steak House. SO much delicious food. The chef even came out and we got to chat with a bit about all his intricate dishes. We took the opportunity to hint how much we liked chocolate. Out comes a 23 layer cake?!?

Now, we had to go work off all those calories at the Susto/Kaleo/Lumineers concert! (The venue is HUGE btw.) We are always the first and last ones dancing. We're those super annoying people that take up way too much space with our dance moves and try and get everyone to dance with us.

Anyways, we had never heard of the opening band and were super psyched by the end of their set. Definitely a band to add to our Spotify "go to" playlist! Kaleo is one of our fav bands, so we were a bit out of control during their set. If you haven't heard of them check out Way Down We Go and Save Yourself (the live version is my favorite.) In between sets we went out to chug tequila, not thinking we could take outside drinks into the venue... you can if you are curious during your next trip. Someone stopped us mid chug to offer us their pit passes during The Lumineers! We made our way down there and got a great view of the band and even more dance room! In the pit we ran into one of the band members of Susto and ended up spending our night at the Roulette table with him! The whole day was a blast and we cannot wait to go back!

Thank you so much Mohegan for the amazing trip!
