If you've been following us for a while (shout out to the long time readers) you may know we're relatively private about our love lives. It's not that our relationships are some big secret, but we like our content to focus on our love of fashion and our 25 year friendship. So, without being too sappy, I can fill you in on our romantic adventures... Abigail is engaged and Emily and her man are also discussing ring designs, so this year is bringing big life changes for us! As fashion lovers, we were obviously both looking for a lot of style and personality in our engagement rings, but also looking for sustainability. Abigail went for an antique ring (bonus points if you guess the stone in the comments!) and Emily has been doing a lot of research on jewelers and diamond color varieties. As wardrobe stylists, we've gotten quite good at internet sleuthing for the best of the best designs, so we've rounded up some of our favorite finds of stylish and sustainable engagement rings.
FOR THE MODERN CLASSIC WOMAN

Timeless style is always en vogue, and this gold pear cut engagement ring from Aurate is such a clean elegant design. It's a nod to a classic style, with added flair of different shaped diamond clusters on the sides.
FOR THE VINTAGE LOVER

If she is a vintage lover, then she needs to know about The Moonstoned. The owner Elizabeth is an expert in curating magical pieces that tell a story and seem to hold special powers. The engagement ring above features such a unique river-like design!
FOR THE ART AFICIONADO

This juicy emerald-cut Maine tourmaline ring is designed and handmade by Harvest Gold Gallery, a small business in Maine that focuses on local materials and truly artistic touches. This is a great company if you're looking for personal and thoughtful designs with wonderful artistic appeal.
FOR THE UNTRADITIONAL WOMAN

We are particularly drawn to this open design wave-like band from Brilliant Earth, and think it's the perfect engagement ring for the untraditional women who seeks out the unique things in life. The double stones are known as Toi et Moi, and it's such a fun stylish take on typical ring design. (Select lab-grown for sustainability!)
